Kewon Damonion Hutchinson, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he shoved and repeatedly hit a 31 year-old woman during an argument at their home on Rising Fawn Trail.
Officers stated that the victim was left with visible injuries to her nose and mouth.
Police added that Hutchinson refused to place his hands behind his back, resulting in them having to use force to take him into custody.
Hutchinson is charged with battery, simple battery, four counts obstruction and probation violation.
