Bonnie Jo Upton, 40 of Cave Spring, was jailed this week after she conspired with two inmates at the Floyd County Prison to sneak in drugs.

Reports said that James Emory and Timothy Patnode spoke over the telephone with Upton to drop off contraband at a designated spot in Floyd County.

Officers said that they were able to retrieve the items before the inmates.  The items recovered were a 12-ounce tub of Stoker’s brand smokeless tobacco, one Geek Bar brand vape (Meta Moon flavored), two rolls of black electrical tape, and several plastic baggies.

Upton is charged with conspiracy to commit a felony, items prohibited by an inmate, and use of a communication device inthe commission of a felony involving controlled substances.
