Summerville Police, this week, observed a vehicle making an unusually wide turn onto Tyler Street, prompting suspicion that the driver may be impaired. Police followed the vehicle down Tyler Street, noting that it was crossing the yellow line and swerving between both lanes of traffic.

After pulling the vehicle over, officers noticed visible signs of impairment. The driver, 32-year-old Brandyn David Holt, admitted to having consumed “3 beers” earlier. Inside the vehicle, police found Holt with two children – a 7-year-old boy and an 8-year-old girl.

Holt was asked to perform field sobriety tests, which he failed.

As a result, he was arrested and charged with DUI and DUI Child Endangerment.
