Zachary Robert Lampkin, 33 of Silver Creek, was arrested this week after reports said he led police on a chase of speeds reaching 127 mph.
Officers said that when they attempted to stop Lampkin for driving at speeds of 75 mph on Ga 53 he sped up to over 127 mph in an effort to avoid arrest.
Police added that after finally stopping, they discovered that he had been driving on a suspended license.
Lampkin is charged with two counts speeding, reckless driving, attempting to elude police, driving on a suspended license, and obstruction of police.
