Susan Darnette Ayers, 58 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she lied to the Northwest Georgia Housing Authority in order to obtain a cheaper rent.

Reports stated that Ayers failed to disclose information that another adult was living in her unit on East 14th Street.

Ayers is charged with fraudulent obtaining public housing.
