Ricky Lee Jones, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he ran from police, and discarded drugs, after being found drunk and belligerent at Shottenkirk Honda on Veterans Memorial Highway.
Reports said that while speaking with him, police said that they found him to be in possession of marijuana before attempting to run away on foot.
During the chase, Jones attempted to abandon the drugs.
Reports added that Jones was also wanted for punching a woman in the mouth, causing a visible laceration.
Jones is charged with battery, public drunk, abandonment of dangerous drugs, possession of marijuana and three counts obstruction of police.
