Veronia Dawn Smith Hoyle, 41, and Terry Lee Smith Sr, 64, both of Rome, were arrested this week after reports said they committed a hit and run near the intersection of Highway 411 and Chateau Drive.
Reports said that Smith, an unlicensed driver, failed to yield the right of way when he crashed into another vehicle and then fled the scene.
Both are charged with hit and run.
Smith is also charged with driving without a license and failure to yield the right of way.
Hoyle is additionally charged with failure to appear and permitting an unlicensed driver to drive.
