Mr. William Lee Voils, Sr., age 79, of Rome, passed away on Tuesday, March 4, 2025, at his residence.
Mr. Voils was born in Floyd County, Georgia on October 27, 1945, son of the late Jesse Frank Voils and the late Alice Virginia Gossett Voils. He was also preceded in death by a son, William Lee Voils, Jr., and by a daughter, Lori Voils. Prior to retirement, Mr. Voils worked as an Aircraft Inspector for Lockheed. He was a member of Pisgah Baptist Church and the Emerson Lodge #738 F&AM. Mr. Voils enjoyed fishing with his grandsons and working outside. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.
Survivors include his wife, Martha Early Voils, to whom he was married on March 29, 1964; a daughter, Annette Voils Penwell; two grandchildren, Ryan Voils and Aaron Voils; four great grandchildren, Logan, Brody, Sadie & Riely; a brother, Dennis Voils (Sue).
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025, at 2pm at Pisgah Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Dudley officiating. Interment will follow at Oaknoll Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 12pm until 1:45pm.
