A Model Elementary School mother, Codi Jennan Nicholson, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she allowed her 10 year-old child to miss 31 days of school, 17of which were unexcused.
Reports said that the absences occurred between February 20, 2024 and February 28, 2025.
Nicholson is charged with the mandatory education of children.
