On Monday, March 10, deputy sheriffs received a report of a telephone caller threatening Superior Court judges in Gordon County.
Deputies questioned witnesses and gathered electronic evidence which corroborated witness statements.
After days of investigating deputies arrested Phillip Andrew Roberts, age 57, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, at the Courthouse, and charged him with 2 counts of ‘Intimidation of Court Officers’.
Roberts had been scheduled to appear to answer previous charges of Public Drunkeness, Assault, and Obstructing Officers, from May, 2024.
