Charles Keith Shaw, 40 of Cedartown, was arrested this week after reports said he attempted to steal over $714 in groceries from the West Rome Walmart.
Reports said that Shaw placed the items in his buggy and then walked out of the store without paying. Police added that when an employee approached him outside the store, Shaw ran away and got into a Ford F150 and left the scene.
The theft occurred back on February 17th.
Shaw is charged with felony theft by shoplifting.
