Sherry Marie Brooks, 32 of Rome, is facing numerous drug charges after reports said she was found with drugs inside the Floyd County Jail while being booked for drug possession.
Report stated that Brooks was a passenger in a vehicle that was pulled over on Redmond Circle for not maintaining their lane.
During the stop, officers said that a K9 alerted on Brooks. A search was then conducted, leading officers to find a digital scale and suspected methamphetamine.
Officers added that meth was later found in her groin area.
Brooks is charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, crossing the guard line with drugs, possession of drug related objects, possession of dangerous drugs and drugs not in original container.
