Gary Don Holmes, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week for drug trafficking after police said they found a large amount of drugs during a traffic stop near the intersection of Bannister Drive and Calhoun Avenue.
Reports stated that Homes was stopped for an expired registration when a K9 officer alerted on the vehicle.
Police stated a search resulted in them finding nearly 90 grams of suspected meth and 8 packages of Triamcinolone.
Holmes is charged with sale of meth, possession of meth with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of a schedule II controlled substance, driving on a suspended license, possession of a drug related object, operation of an unregistered vehicle and a brake light violation.
