Christopher Alan Carter, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked a 24 year-old man with a machete and then a sawed-off shotgun.
Police said that Carter sliced this victim’s hand, disfiguring his fingers, with the machete.
Carter is then accused of pulling out a sawed-off shotgun and discharging it into the air.
When police arrived, they stated that Carter refused to comply with commands before eventually being taken into custody.
Carter is charged with aggravated assault, aggravated battery, possession of a firearm during the commission of a crime, possession of a sawed off shot gun, reckless conduct and obstruction.
