Christopher Brian Vaughn, 48 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he beat his son in the back of the head while threatening to kill him.
Police said that when they arrived on the scene, Vaughn refused to follow commands and then raised a pool cue in a manner that caused officers to fear danger.
A search of Vaughn then led officers to find marijuana in his possession
Vaughn is charged with two counts aggravated assault, simple battery, terroristic threats/acts, possession of marijuana and two counts felony obstruction.
