Willie Veloyd Plant, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he choked a woman during a dispute on Cherokee Street.
Reports said that Plant held the woman down to the point she could not breathe. The victim was left with an imprint on her neck from the actions.
Police added that two small witnessed the attack and told police that “daddy choking mommy”.
Plant is charged with aggravated assault, battery, and two counts 3rd degree cruelty to children.
