A convicted felon, Malcom Tyrell Kennedy, 21 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of a handgun.
Reports stated that Kenndy was found with a Denali 380 handgun while being taken into custody for violating his probation.
Kennedy is charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and two counts probation violation.
