Mrs. Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Phillips Faust, age 81, of Rome

Mrs. Kathleen ‘Kathy’ Phillips Faust, age 81, of Rome, GA, passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at a local hospital.

       Kathy was born on July 10, 1943, in Knoxville, TN, daughter of the late James W. Phillips and the late Berneda ‘Granny Bea’ Walker Phillips. She was also preceded in death by her children, Lori Winston Hughes and Jason Owen Faust. Kathy was a very active member at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Rome, GA, where she served as a faithful member of the choir. She loved being a part of the Sun Shiners group at the Spires at Berry, and she enjoyed doing needlework.

       Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Winston Faust; her grandsons, Shane Wilson, Gavin Faust, and Justin Hughes; her brothers, Larry Phillips, Jacksonville, FL, and Gary Phillips, Dalton, GA; numerous other family members.

       In accordance with her wishes, Kathy will be cremated. The family will have a Memorial Service to celebrate the life of Kathy at a later date at Westminster Presbyterian Church.
