Armuchee High School is excited to announce the upcoming season for the Girl’s Soccer Team, led by Head Coach Kayla Timberlake. With a strong commitment to developing young athletes both on and off the field, Coach Timberlake brings a wealth of experience and passion to the program.

Having played soccer since the age of six, Coach Timberlake has dedicated her life to the sport. She began her coaching career at the YMCA during her high school years and has since accumulated over eight years of coaching experience at various levels, including the Arsenal Academy. This year marks her first season as the head coach at Armuchee High School, where she aims to build on the strong foundation laid by previous coaches.

“I enjoy helping my players reach their full potential and develop their own passion for the sport,” said Coach Timberlake. “There is a sense of fulfillment from seeing them overcome challenges and grow as individuals.”

The team is looking forward to a competitive season, “Emily Hernandez is a player that I can put at any position on the field and rely on her to get the job done. Brinley Dixon and Addyson Ayers are both such skilled players who are important for developing our dangerous attack. Sarah Perry has been a key player in helping us rebuild our defense that graduated last year. We have several new players as well who are going to stand out and do big things for us.”

Coach Timberlake emphasizes the importance of teamwork and core values such as hard work and respect. “My players are such good kids, and I appreciate the tenacity and perseverance that they bring to practice each day,” she stated. “We are blessed to have an uplifting group of girls who support each other, even in challenging situations.”

The AHS Girls Soccer Team is eager to embark on this new season, and the community is encouraged to come out and support the team. If you are a church or a business and would like to help support AHS Girls Soccer, contact Coach Timberlake via email at [email protected].
