Chattooga High School running back Zayden Cook should became the 26th player in history Georgia high school football to rush for over 2,500 in a season Friday night.
Cook neares the prestigious mark last Friday when he rushed for 363 yards while scoring six touchdowns on 44 carries.
Cook will have at least two more games to add on the numbers as they host Coosa this week and then at least one playoff game.
This marks the second time in three seasons a player from Chattooga County reached the mark. In 2021, Trion’s Rob Brown rushed for 2,758 yards.
