Daniel Scott Milstead, 44 of Summerville, was arrested in Rome after he was captured while breaking into a car on Haywood Valley Road in Armuchee.
Police said that Milstead broke into the vehicle and proceeded to hid in the car when he was spotted committing the crime.
Officers went on to say that Milstead proceeded to run from them when they arrived on scene.
Reports added that Milstead was found with several items that had been taken from the vehicle.
Millstead is charged with entering an automobile with intent to commit a crime, criminal attempt to commit a crime, obstruction and criminal trespass.
