Tyra Michelle Wofford, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she committed a hit-and-run while driving under the influence of alcohol.
Police said that Wofford left her lane of travel and struck another vehicle near the intersection of North Division and Fortune Streets.
Reports added that Wofford fled away from the scene before eventually being stopped. It was then discovered that she had been driving under the influence of alcohol.
Wofford is charged with hit and run, failure to maintain lane and DUI.
