Stephanie Lynn Ray, 55 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she led police on a high speed chase.
Police said that when they attempted to conduct a traffic stop on Ray, she fled away at speeds of over 40mph above the posted limit.
During the chase, Ray is accused of running numerous stop signs while placing citizens at risk of injury.
After eventually stopping, Ray was found to have been driving on a suspended license due to her past DUI charges.
Ray is charged with attempting to elude police, four counts running a stop sign, reckless driving, too fast for conditions, driving on a suspended license, improper tail lights and failure to maintain lane.
