A 17 year-old Rome teen, Jakob Carlston Garmon, was arrested this week after reports said he was found driving drunk after being stopped for texting on his cellphone.

Officers said that Garmon was puled over near the intersection of Chatillion Road at JL Todd Drive after weaving while texting on his cellphone.

During the stop, Garmon was found intoxicated.

Garmon is charged with DUI, improper lane change, underage possession of alcohol and distracted hands free driving violation.
