James Cliff Hart IV, 25 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with a gun while at the Floyd County Jail.
Police stated that Hart was being booked into the Floyd County Jail for driving under the influence of alcohol before he was found with a firearm on his possession.
Hart is charged with DUI and unlawful possession of guns by an inmate.
