After two seasons as head coach of Gordon Central High School, Lenny Gregory announced his resignation on Monday.
Gordon Central High School Principal Amy Parker said in a statement that Gregory expressed his gratitude for his time at Central, “Two years ago, I found a program that desired to win, and together we committed to the process of building a successful football program.”
Gregory added, “I am most proud of the young men in this program who made Gordon Central a playoff team.”
The Warriors made the postseason for the first time since 2012 last season under the leadership of Gregory.
It appears that Gregory could soon be named the new head football coach at Commerce High School in Northeast Georgia.
Commerce finished 8-4 last season and made it to the 2nd round of the playoffs.
