Gina Nicole Gonzales, 35 of Cedartown, and Mitchell Ryan McChargue, 39 of Rockmart, were arrested this week after reports said they found them sitting in a car passed out on drugs at the Huddle House.

Reports said that officers were dispatched to the Huddle House(115 East Ave) in reference to an unresponsive call. Officers were advised via 911 that there were 2 subjects in a white Ford that were barely breathing. They stated that a male and female inside the vehicle had been parked for approximately an hour.

Upon arrival, the female passenger spoke with EMS/Fire Rescue and Officer Barnett. At this time one of the firefighters stated that they smelt marijuana. Officers then noticed an odor of marijuana and the smell of cologne. I then began to speak with the male and identified him as Mitchell McChargue (see story below). Both subjects refused EMS after stepping out of the vehicle.

Police then located a glass pipe in the floorboard where Gonzales was seated.

When patting Gonzales down officers allegedly found at least 2 ounces of methamphetamine.

A large gallon-sized baggy that also contained suspected meth was then located in the vehicle. The bag also contained several white rectangle pills.

Police said that after weighing the suspected methamphetamine, both bags had a combined weight of approximately 1 pound and 9 ounces. The small baggie on Gonzales weighed approximately 2 ounces.

Gonzales is charged with public drunkenness, loitering, possession of methamphetamine, possession of meth with intent to distribute, drug trafficking, possession of a schedule Iv controlled substance, and possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
