Austin Mark Outlaw, 35 of Calhoun, was arrested this week after reports said he was found in possession of fentanyl during a traffic stop on SR 101 at Zenu King Road.
Police added that Outlaw refused to identify himself while being questioned.
Officers went on to say that the drugs were thrown from the vehicle during the traffic stop.
Outlaw is charged with possession of a schedule II controlled substance and obstruction of law enforcement.
