John Thomas McCauley, 42 of Armuchee, was arrested at a home on Crackerneck Road after he hit a woman in the neck and then threatened to kill her.
Reports did not indicate what type of injuries the victim received.
McCauley is charged with simple battery and terroristic threats and acts.
