Tara Nacholi Evans, 52 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said she was found driving while high on drugs following her running a stop sign on Blacks Bluff Road.
Officers said that after stopping Evans, she told them that she had smoked marijuana 20 minutes prior to being stopped.
A search then resulted in officers finding less than an ounce of marijuana inside the vehicle.
Evans is charged with possession of marijuana, DUI and stop sign violation.
