Robert Keith Tincher III, 31 of Armuchee, pleaded guilty this week to killing his 82 year-old grandmother, Doris Cumming, and storing her body in a freezer for months.

Cumming’s body was recovered from the freezer in large plastic bags with numerous broken bones.

Authorities said that Cumming was still alive when she was placed in the freezer.

Tincher pleaded guilty to malice murder, felony murder, kidnapping and various other charges. However, he denied that he killed her during the plea hearing.  Tincher told the judge, “I want to get out of Floyd County and get on with the rest of my life.”

Judge Billy Sparks then told Ticher, “you’re aware that means spending it in prison?”

Judge Sparks later took the guilty plea after a series of other questions.

Sentencing is scheduled for December 11th
