Archie Lamar Waits, 65 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to shoot and kill a paramedic while he was being treated for an injury.
Reports added that Waits was intoxicated during the altercation.
Waits is charged with public drunk, terroristic threats/acts, and interference with emergency medical professionals.
