A 60 year-old Rome man, Steve Lorenzo Miller, who had already been charged with threatening to kill a judge is facing new charges after attacking a sheriff’s deputy.

Reports said that Miller beat the deputy in the face over the weekend.

The deputy suffered visible injuries to his left ear and left jaw.

Miller is now charged with battery, felony obstruction of law enforcement and felony unlawful acts in a penal institution.

A 60 year-old Rome man, Steve Lorenzo Miller, who was arrested earlier in the week for harassing 911 operators has now been charged two numerous felonies after threatening a judge while going to his first appearance hearing.

Reports said that Miller threatened to kill Judge Salmon while exiting the courtroom. 

He then again, while entering his cell threatened to have someone else kill the judge.

Miller is charged with two counts felony intimidation of a court officer.

Steve Lorenzo Miller, 60 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he called and harassed 911 operators.

Reports said that Miller called 911 for non emergency purposes a total of 39 times.

Miller is charged with unlawful conduct during a 911 call.
