Tony Alan George, 33 of Rome, was jailed this week after reports said he made physical contact with an arresting officer while intoxicated at the Red Roof Inn on Highway 411.
Reports said that officers were dispatched to a location on Highway 411 after he injured a 37 year-old woman.
George is charged with battery, simple battery against a police officer, public drunk and obstruction.
