Robert Matthew Bowman, 37 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he was found with drugs while burglarizing a home on Ave F in Shannon.
Reports said that Bowman stole close to $100 in items from the resident.
Police added that while taking him into custody they found Gabapentin and Trazodone that were not in their original containers.
Bowman is charged with second degree burglary, theft by taking, possession of a schedule V controlled substance, drugs not in original container and criminal trespass.
