Brandon Joseph Reynolds, 43 of Villa Rica, was jailed in Rome after leading police on a high-speed chase through southern Floyd County.

Reports said that Reynolds was clocked at driving 72 mph in a 55 zone.  When officers attempted to pull him over, Reynolds sped up with speeds of over 100 mph.

While engaged in the chase, Reynolds ran at least four stop signs and a red light while serving into oncoming traffic and passing vehicles in a no-passing zone.

After eventually stopping, Reynolds continued to prevent being handcuffed.

Police later found several fragments of suspected methamphetamine and a half-drunk opened container of alcohol.

Reynolds is charged with speeding, fleeing, driving on a suspended license, reckless driving, open container, failure to obey traffic controlled devices, failure to maintain lane, passing in a no passing zone, four counts littering,  four counts running a stop sign, five counts obstruction, and possession of methamphetamine.
