The holiday season brought a string of lottery wins for Georgians, highlighted by five winners in the Dec. 24 Mega Millions drawing. Four players won $10,000 each by matching four of the five winning numbers and the Mega Ball, while a fifth player who selected the Megaplier tripled their prize to $30,000.
The $30,000-winning ticket was purchased by a Milledgeville resident via the Georgia Lottery mobile app. The $10,000-winning tickets were purchased at the following locations:
- Chevron, 2382 Gadsden Road, Cave Spring
- Kathy’s, 560 Highway 301, Trenton
- Shell Food Mart, 2928 Austell Road SW, Marietta
- Georgia Lottery website by a Lawrenceville resident
The winning numbers for the Dec. 24 drawing were 11-14-38-45-46, with the Mega Ball 03 and the Megaplier 3X. The next Mega Millions drawing is set for Friday, Dec. 27, with an estimated jackpot of $1.150 billion – the fifth largest in the game’s history.
The holiday luck extended to other Georgia Lottery games, with several big wins across the state:
- Stonecrest: A player won the $150,000 jackpot in the Dec. 24 Fantasy 5 drawing with a ticket purchased at Fletcher’s Place, 3025 Turner Hill Road.
- Cumming: A player scored $107,872 on the Quick Win 50X the Money game via the Georgia Lottery app on Dec. 25.
- Thomson: A player landed $15,000 playing The Wildlife Clusters Diggi game using the mobile app on Dec. 23.
- Rome: A player matched all five numbers in the Georgia 5 drawing on Dec. 23 to win the $10,000 top prize. The winning ticket was purchased at Circle K, 1881 Calhoun Road NE.
- Covington & Macon: Two more players won $10,000 playing Georgia 5 on Dec. 26. The tickets were purchased at Saniya Enterprises at 3501 Salem Road in Covington and at Pelican Food Store at 3970 Houston Ave in Macon.
Winners in Georgia have 180 days from the draw date to claim prizes. Proceeds from all Georgia Lottery games benefit education in the state of Georgia.
