LaJuan Detwain Walker, 43 of Cedartown, was arrested this week following a reported stabbing near South Main Street.

Reports said that a victim told police that he had been stabbed in the chest by “MD”.

However, officers said that they observed no puncture wound or bleeding. There was a small red bump he was pointing at. He stated that MD was swinging a knife at him and then ended up poking him in the chest. He added that it happened at Chemo’s house and that “he saw everything”.

Officers then went to speak with Lajuan Walker, who was the other party involved.

Police stated that before they got to the top of Central Street and Jones Street other officers had gotten out with Walker due to him already having a previous warrant for his arrest.

While speaking with Walker, he was observed chewing on something.  He told officers that it was food. However, after asking him to spit it out multiple times he refusing to do so.

Police then told Walker to spit the baggie out of his mouth and not to swallow due to them suspecting he was trying to get rid of drugs.  Officers then grabbed Walker by the neck to prevent him from swallowing and avoiding a possible overdose.

After a short time, Walker then spit two individual baggies of a white powdery substance believed to be cocaine out on the ground.

While speaking with Walker he did have a strong odor of alcohol coming from his person and was slurring his words.

Walker was then  transported to Polk Medical Center to be evaluated by medical staff.

Walker is charged with public drunkenness, terroristic threats/acts, obstruction, tampering with evidence, possession of cocaine, possession of methamphetamine, and manufacturing drugs near a housing project.
