An inmate at the Floyd County Jail, Tzvi Yehuda Strauss, 22 of Rome, is facing new charges after reports said he attempted to influence his probation officer in a manner where they would not testify against him in court.
Reports said that Strauss threatened to harm the victim if she testified against him.
Police went on to say that Strauss then made fictitious statements about the victim in hopes that his charges would be dismissed.
Strauss is charged with influencing a witness, false statements/writings and obstruction of public administration/threatening witness in official proceedings.
