The Rome Alcohol Control Commission approved a recommendation to forgo the 50/50 food to drink ratio for Super Bowl Sunday this year.
Under Georgia law, establishments can designate one Sunday a year in which businesses do not have to meet the requirement to serve liquor.
Last year, Rome choose St. Patick’s Day and New Year’s Even in 2023 to forgo the requirement.
The recommendation will now go to the full Rome City Commission for approval.
