Jorge Luis Figueroa, 34 of Calhoun, was arrested this week after an investigation was launched into what happened to a seriously injured 3 year-old child.
Reports said that on November 1 Calhoun Police was called to investigate the circumstances behind the child who suffered a head injury and as the result had to be transported to Erlanger for care.
Figueroa has initially been charged with 1st degree cruelty to children, four counts aggravated battery and four counts battery.
CPD Chief Tony Pyle said , “We are committed to pursuing justice and will continue to work closely with the District Attorney’s Office to ensure that those responsible are held accountable.”
