At least one person , Ms. Tiffany Nicole Smith, age 40, has died and numerous others injured following a head-on collision Friday morning on the East Rome Bypass near Turner Chapel Road.
Reports said that Smith’s east bound Nissan Armada crossed over the median and struck a Ford pickup truck driven by Timothy Reynolds, 45 of Lindale, head just after 6:30 AM.
Smith was killed and several juvenile passengers, under the age of 10, were transported to the hospital.
Reynolds, who many call the “Mayor of Lindale”, was transported with what Rome Police called “serious” injuries after bystanders had to pull them out when the truck caught on fire.
