Charles Davon Goode, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole over 15,000 gallons of water from Floyd County.
Reports stated that Goode unlawfully took a water meter from a home on Lewis Blvd and replaced it with his own,
Police added that when they arrived at the scene, Goode fled from them on foot despite being told to stop and vehicles displaying blue lights.
Goode is charged with theft by taking government property, damaging utilities property, theft of service, interference with government property and obstruction.
