A Rome man, Nathan Kendall Whorton, who was accused of trying to break into the Frisky Biscuit pornography store on Calhoun Highway has been charged with burglarizing Shannon Baptist Church.
Reports said that Whorton broke into church through two windows causing them to have to be boarded up.
Authorities said that it appears that Whorton entered the building more than once.
Whorton is now charged with 1st-degree burglary and vandalism to a place of worship.
