On September 9, 2024, our School Resource officers were made aware of threats being made against students at Coosa High School. After investigation by Resource Officers and Investigators from the Floyd County Police Department, a juvenile was charged with 4 counts of Terroristic Threats and Acts and 4 counts of Disruption of a Public School.
We are thankful for our community partners who have assisted us in this investigation with tips and information.
Once again, we would like to assure the community that we take this and any other reported threats against our schools and children seriously.
