Cody Lee Barron, 34 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he stole a rental vehicle from his employer after he was fired.
Police said that Barron took a 2024 Dodge Ram valued at $47,000.
Officers went on to say that when police attempted to pull Barron over on Dodd Blvd he refused to show his driver’s license and then to step out of the truck when asked.
Barron is charged with theft by taking, obstruction, and seat belt violation.
