Rome Man Jailed for Threatening to Stab Another During Dispute over Cigarette Lighter

Shane Allen Neighbors, 54 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he threatened to stab another during a dispute over a lighter.

Police stated that Neighbors began to yell and act in a tumultuous manner during a dispute over the lighter.

Officers said that Neighbors then threatened to “stab the victim in the face” with a cutting instrument known as a “shiv”.

The incident occurred near the Dollar General on North 5^th Avenue.

Neighbors is charged with disorderly conduct and terroristic threats/acts.
