Mark Thomas Scoffield, 40 of Rome, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked another man with a knife at a location on Howell Street.
Reports said that during the attack the victim not only received not only serious injury but his finger was also disfigured as well.
Scoffield is charged with aggravated assault and aggravated battery.
