Journey Community Food Pantry has openings and will be accepting additional applications for our Community Supplemental Food Program (Senior Box Program) on Wednesday 9/25/24. This program is designated for low income senior adults age 60 and above. We currently have 30 slots available. Clients must meet the following requirements:
*Be 60 years of age or older.
*Income does not exceed $1632.00 monthly.
*Must be a Floyd County resident.
*Must be able to come to the pantry to pick up your food monthly. (Distribution will be the second wednesday and thursday of each month).
* You can designate a person to pick your food up for you. However, they must be with you at registration to sign paperwork as well.
Bring a current Georgia Licence or State ID for verification purposes.
Bring a current utility bill, copy of your lease, medical bill or piece of government mail dated within the last 60 days for proof of residency.
The addresses on your Photo ID and mail must match.
Clients who qualify will receive a 35 – 45 pound box of nonperishable food every month for the next 12 months. These boxes contain canned or boxed fruits, vegetables, pasta, cereal, meat, juice, shelf stable milk, and blocks of cheese. You will also receive fresh produce, meat, deli, breads and desserts from Journey Community Food Pantry as available. Clients will leave the pantry after registration with your first box of CSFP food and extras if qualified and processed through.
