Jeffery Raiden Smith, 28 of Lindale, was arrested this week after reports said he attacked and threatened to kill a 25 year-old woman in front of their children.
Smith is accused of grabbing and twisting the victim’s arm in front of the children. He then proceeded to grab the victim by her hair and dragged her into the bedroom where he told a 7 year-old child to get out of the room because he was going “kill that bit**”.
Police went on to say that when the victim went to get a phone to call 911 for help, Smith grabbed it from her and threw it out of her reach.
Smith is charged with battery, 5 counts 3rd degree cruelty to children, 1st degree cruelty to children, terroristic threats/acts, and obstruction of a person making a 911 call.
